Can I Be Candid?

I’ve lost my touch. Lost searching for the right words to put together. The kind that can hit like the punch I’m holding back. How can I water this down enough for the masses to drink? Did I just say that? Look at the damage this has done to me? I made it about me again, me and my insecurities. I’m starting to think it’s a ploy to avoid the bigger picture; my being self-absorbed. Instead I serve truth coated in honey so it’s easy to digest. Thoughtfully designed and rigorously edited candidness but can I be candid for a moment? This is getting ugly. As I take a look around me, the unnerving reality consumes my peace of mind. And yet still I know I don’t hold the whole truth, what little I know, I can hardly digest. As a genocide unfolds, all I know is I cannot sugarcoat the words anymore to spare feelings. Calling it out makes me no hero nor do the consequences make me a victim. The noise won’t mask the needless bombs destroying children, or the brutality that targets innocent civilians, I’ll spare you the details, for I can’t quite stomach them myself. I’ll tell you now, these are the victims.

I’ve come to understand a little more. My growing anger has become a useful tool as I learn to harness it. Love is eternally at war with hate, but I was told a different story. The men at the pulpits beat a false gospel into my head through repetition. They dressed love in blind obedience and resistance as spiritual warfare. How was I to trust that my own compass was God if it was constantly at war with everything I heard inside a “Godly” place?

My heart is driven to the helpless, and the outsider. Though I must admit, I’m starting to feel like an outsider myself, though not entirely helpless. We never really are, you know, even if that’s what they want you to believe. There’s so much beauty once you leave the fear behind. Look into my eyes and tell me you don’t see it too? The ugly getting uglier, do you see it? I see it too.

Yet somewhere in that horrific scene, there’s something they don’t want you to see… We hold more power than we give, never forget that please.
Oh and one more thing, FREE PALESTINE.

¿Puedo Ser Sincera?

He perdido el toque.
